FORGES DE COURCELLES STRENGTHENS ITS DIVERSIFICATION STRATEGY IN THE HOT FORGING SECTOR WITH THE ACQUISITION OF STEVENIN NOLLEVAUX

On November 30, 2023, FORGES DE COURCELLES (SIFCOR Group), Europe's leading manufacturer of hot forged products, took over STEVENIN NOLLEVAUX (SN), a transaction fully in line with FORGES DE COURCELLES' market diversification strategy. The new company has an annual turnover of over €250 million and a headcount of more than 950 people in France. Thanks to the industrial and commercial synergies, the Group will strengthen its offer, expertise and services to its customers.

Jean-Louis Deguy, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SIFCOR, emphasises:

"From the powertrain to the chassis, the SIFCOR Group showcases its expertise in forging, machining and assembly. However, in order to strengthen its global leadership and successfully manage the ecological transition, the Group needs to diversify and integrate other business areas. The acquisition of STEVENIN NOLLEVAUX is a decisive step towards this transformation.

I am delighted that our Group has reached a critical mass and can therefore continue to play an important and indispensable role in the forging industry for its customers who have also undergone size changes in the wake of their numerous mergers.

The consolidation of the forging industry in France is in full swing!"

François Deguy, President of FORGES DE COURCELLES, adds: "With this acquisition, FORGES DE COURCELLES is consolidating and accelerating its diversification strategy at both market and product level. Our companies, based on family roots and shared values, will continue their development based on continuous improvement, "best in class" services for our customers, the training of our teams and ongoing investment. Our mission has always been and will still be to fulfil the requirements of all our customers by focusing on technology, quality and customer service. I am convinced of the synergies that we will develop thanks to the joint contributions of both companies."

Philippe Boujon, General Director of Forges de Courcelles, says: "E-mobility will fundamentally change the engineering industry in Europe and the forging industry in particular, but together we will be stronger. Our teams are made up of men and women of character who excel in the noble trades of forging, mechanics, machining and assembly. I have no doubt that the merger of our companies will give each of us the opportunity to make even greater progress. All these competences will form the wealth of this merger, which will enable us to meet the challenges of tomorrow's world.

Cyril Grisvard, Managing Director of STEVENIN NOLLEVAUX, explains: "This new group offers a unique package. The first major added value is a very strong commercial synergy created by the complementarity of skills and means of production. Our range of services and products will be greatly expanded, from development, machining and assembly to our common core business, forging.

It will also accelerate and enhance our continuous improvement metrics and our operational control, thanks to the complementary skills of STEVENIN NOLLEVAUX and FORGES DE COURCELLES."

Finally, Alexandre Henon, Industrial Director of STEVENIN-NOLLEVAUX, emphasised: "FORGES DE COURCELLES' expertise in the automation and robotisation of forging processes will help us to make faster advances in the fields of quality assurance and productivity gains."

Both companies will share resources and expertise in the areas of innovation and technology in favour of increased competitiveness. Based on our family histories and values, we will combine our expertise to strengthen our common growth which is driven by the development, support and satisfaction of our customers.
